One opinion believes that yes, they will because of dialogue mentioned by Game Freak employes in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver however it will most likely come out in 2015 because Emerald was released in the 2005 which means Nintendo will release it 10 years later.
Another opinion believes that Emerald won't be remade itself but rather Game Freak will do a HeartGold and SoulSilver style remake by remaking Ruby and Sapphire and including Emerald elements into it because of them never releasing the Old Sea Map for Faraway Island and Deoxys hasn't had a store event since the GameStop 2008 event for Diamond and Pearl.
