Operation Just Cause, the U.S. military invasion of Panama in December 1989, was closely related to the United States and Panama. The operation aimed to depose Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega, who had ties to drug trafficking and was seen as a threat to U.S. interests in the region. Additionally, several neighboring countries in Central America, such as Costa Rica and Nicaragua, were indirectly affected by the operation's geopolitical implications.
