Sonic and Shadow can both run at speeds exceeding 600 mph, and can shred through steel without injuring themselves. Knuckles can break through almost anything with his knuckles, and is resistant to damage. Sonic, Shadow and Knuckles win fairly easily.

Weapons: Mario and Lugi use a Star to go invincible, and Yoshi can use a Morph Bubble to transform into a vehicle to aid Mario and Luigi. Shadow, Sonic and Knuckles use the Chaos Emeralds to go super. Probable tie.

Tails can use his gadgets and vehicles to attack, as well as fly with his tails. Sonic and Knuckles could also go super with the Chaos Emeralds.

Mario, Luigi and Yoshi: Mario and Luigi can both jump incredibly high and shoot fireballs from their hands. They also have a variety of items to aid them, like mushrooms and stars. Yoshi can super jump as well, and temporarily eat things.

Shadow, Rouge and Dr. Robotnik: Sonic can run at speeds exceeding 600 mph and slice through metal, as well as use Chaos Control to bend time. Rouge can fly and has powerful kicking moves. Robotnik has an I.Q of 300 and an army of machines to aid him, as well as a fleet of ships.

Bowser, Wario and Waluigi: Wario and Waluigi can use the same items Mario and Luigi use. Wario also has a motorcycle to aid him. Bowser has an army of Koopa's and can breathe fire. He is also resistant to damage, like Knuckles.
