There are many different enemies in Super Mario galaxies, as you go along, like little ones that you can easily stun and knock out while you are playing. BUt the main enemy and the point of the game and who you are supposed to defeat is Browser, who captured princess peach and took her away.

It depends on what Mario game you are playing. In the all the Mario games the most common enemy is a brown mushroom shaped creature with two feet and no arms or legs, called a Goomba. These hurt Mario if he touches him. They also come in a winged flying variety called a Paragoomba. All other types of enemies depend on the game played. A slightly less common enemy is the Koopa Troopa, basically, a turtle that walks on it's hind legs and wears boots. Attacking it will only result in it hiding in it's indestructible shell. But you can kick it into other enemies and kill them!
