Specificaly to the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Crossbows are useful in several ways. They don't affect walking speed, shoot faster arrows and have a higher base damage, all useful when hunting vampires. They can also be used in combination with element infused arrows that inflict frost, flame or lightning damage on the target. You don't have to wait for the bow to be drawn before shooting and thus can be ready to fire before entering battle. You have a higher chance to stagger the enemy across the board, both when they are hit by an arrow and when you bash them.
In the Comics I would say it is Venom, but I don't know who it would be in videogames...
In "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion," the War Axe of Seduction is obtained by completing the "A Kiss Before Dying" quest in the Fort Hastrel area. You must find the quest giver, who will lead you to the location where you can confront and defeat the enemy guarding the axe. After defeating the enemy, you can loot the War Axe of Seduction from their corpse. Make sure to explore the fort thoroughly to find all quest-related items and complete the objectives.
