Yes. One time, Loki cut off Sif's hair (Thor's wife), and to square up, Loki made the sons of Ivaldi; dwarves skilled in crafting. They made golden hair for Sif, the ship Skidbladnir for Freyr, and the spear Gungni for Odin. Each of these items had magical powers.
After that, Loki made a bet with the dwarves Brokkr and Eitri (also called Sindri), that if they could make gifts better than those of the sons of Ivaldi, they could get his skull.
Brokkr and Eitri then made the ring Draupnir for Odin, the golden boar Gullinbursti for Freyr, and the hammer Mjöllnir (or Mjolnir) for Thor.
All the æsir (gods) agreed that Mjöllnir was the greatest of all the gifts, and Loki lost his bet.
Although Loki had to give up his skull, he got away with it by saying that it was impossible to remove the skull without hurting the skin or neck. Brokkr couldn't argue against that, so he just sewed his lip shut with a wire :)
