I'm not sure what you mean, but I'm going to answer it how i understand it. when you make your sims go to college, yes, they will disapear from home. you go under the college for that neighborhood and they will be in the students bin.
another thing you may mean is if they graduate and disapear from the university. I'm not quite sure because none of my sims have graduated yet. i do imagine they will be put in the family bin in the neighborhood they originally came from.
