This is in part due to the need to translate it. When you play a video game there are thousands if not millions of words that need to be translated to a new language. Also, for some statements there isn't a direct translation so they can't translate it as easily. Additionally, the text in a video game is harder to change due to the video gaming language. Then, after all the language is translated, the game has to be tested for mistakes. Finally, the company must make thousands of games before releasing them.
