Well I guess they were not technically there yet with the sims and they in sims 1 they limited stuff but in sims 2 and 3 the mother is pregnant. For sims 2 it is fr three sim days that she is pregnant. Not sure about The Sims 3. But my point is that they probably didn't either know how to do that or they didn't think of that since they where missing other stuff too! Hope that helped!:)
