Why is Maplestory called Maplestory?

Maplestory can be considered addictive, because it is a game full of adventure and quests. Some of the many Maplestory players play for hours, destroying monsters, fulfilling quests and chatting with other people. But one very important reason why Maplestory is so addictive is because players want to level up their character. Because level upping is very hard to accomplish in Maplestory, players try their best on leveling up. I don't know why players want to level up so badly, but my guess is because they want to be very powerful in the game and gain a lot of fame.

The reason why the Nexon Team made maplestory is because you can choose you own path to walk on. Like what classes you want to make. Also, they added the Maple in there because there's a special event always having to deal with maple stuff like maple weapons, maple chairs, and a lot of other stuff.

The original name was Oakstory, until they changed it because Maplestory sounds better!
