Ooh, tough parents, eh? Well what i'd do is that I would explain to them that I would mostly play on the Black Ops Multiplayer (which does not excessive language). Plus, to turn off graphics (blood, etc.), there's an option when you first play Black Ops that asks you if you want it on or off. You can always go to settings and change what you put. Hope this helped!

In Call of Duty: Black Ops, you typically cannot individually turn off DLC maps for multiplayer matches. However, you can choose to play in lobbies or game modes that exclude DLC maps if the host settings or game mode options allow for it. Additionally, some games may have a "filter" option in the multiplayer settings to prefer specific maps. Always check the specific game settings for the most accurate options.

If your Mac has a built-in CD/DVD drive (i.e. is not a Macbook Air), then a CD may be played by inserting the disc into the drive. If iTunes is installed, it should automatically open, unless you have changed the default settings. If you have changed the default settings, then you must open iTunes or any other media player that you use, which should then detect the CD, after which you may select the CD and choose which track to begin playback on.
The Alienware Aurora is a lower spec machine and will play Skyrim on max settings - the base x51 is even more powerful and should have no problem doing the same.
They shouldn't play any different than before you converted them. You might want to check your Duration Default Settings (Tools, Options, Advanced tab) to ensure you have Restored All Defaults from prior use.
