It is possible that your game is broken. Before confirming that however, try blowing lightly inside it to clear out some possible dust that could be interfering with the readability of the cartridge.
Another problem may be that you inserted it wrong, or too roughly. Try gently pushing it in all the way, and then pushing on the outside rim hard to make sure its in place.
If neither of those work, your game is either broken (Whether from water damage, forcibly handling it, or something else), or your GBA is broken.
All Game Boy games (Original up to Advance) work in the GBA. GBA micro's do not work with them, and only work with GBA games.
actually depends on what game you have and when the event comes up.
You Put in the gba game in to ur ds and start up Pokemon diamond and it should give u the option migrate Pokemon!
You can hook up two GBA's for multiplayer via the GBA adapter cable.

Why wont my hundai elantra start up?
Have 2 GBA's or GBASP's and have a GBA to GBA link cable and connect the cable to the GBA or GBASP for both games then have sapphire and ruby go upstairs at any Pokemon center and talk to the middle lady she will say do you want to trade say yes then she will save your game then press the A button on the game that has the Purple link cable hooked up to it not the gray one then press A again and you will enter the trade room here you need to sit in the chairs then start trading by selecting your Pokemon that you want to trade with A and do the same with the other game then say yes and the trade will start DON't turn it off during saving at anypoint.
copy the Pokemon ROM file, go to no$gba and find the battery file, then paste the Pokemon game into the battery file. start the game like you normally would then save like you normally would then start it back up again and bam! it should be right there. this works for every Pokemon game.
If you have an original DS or a DS Lite, you can stick the GBA Pokemon game into the GBA slot, then start up your DS game. You need to have beaten the Elite Four to do this trade. Click MIGRATE FROM (whatever game) and pick the 6 Pokemon that you'd like to send to Pal Park first. Then, head to Pal Park off of the Sandgem Town Surf-Route, Routes 219, 220, and 221. Go into Pal Park and catch your Pokemon! :)
