It hasn't been announced whether its offline or online, but it'll probably be online because they said that the award winning multiplayer from brotherhood will return, and that in itself was online, so chances are that it will be online multiplayer in revelations but there might still be the slightest chance in revelations for coop offline but no one knows yet.

To give your assassins a different weapon in AC Brotherhood, you have to get them to a high enough level. Then, after going in to the pigeon coop, select an assassin you want and scroll down to the weapon symbol and push left or right to select a different weapon.
Does Resistance 2 have a co-operative campaign?
No. Unlike resistance 1, it doesn't have a coop story mode. You can only play separate missions on or offline. I thought they would take care of that because coop story was much fun in res 1, playing along with your friend. It's a pity really

if you look on the back of the box, you will see it does not have co-op play. the only way to play co-op is online with friends/strangers etc. skate 2 features co-op (well multiplayer off the main game) and that's good enough, possibly better, though idk...
