Hmmm.... they are both good for different reasons. I would say that Sims 2 free time gives you more stuff to do but Sims 2 apartment life gives you the ability to live in apartments (obviously :D ) Also gives you to be able to do witch craft. And a butler. :) It really depends on what your looking for.

Your right, apartment life, Bonvoyage and nightlife is so much better, I mean, in the Sims2 Bonvoyage you get to go on vacation to places, you could learn to hula dance, learn how to teleport by ninjas and SO much more! On Sims 2 apartment life, you can turn into a witch! You get a free neighbourhood that comes with it called Belladonna Cove [a.k.a Bella Goth-Don Lothario] and if you have the sims2 pets theres this extra thing were you can get a magical cat! And finally, on Sims 2 nightlife, you get to have a car, go places for bowling and you can become a vampire! All these games are SO cool!. I've gotta say, though, Sims 2 Freetime is good too cause you can get a genie to grant you 3 wishes. I would say that Apartment and Nightlife are better because they get you much better things like in Nightlife you get Cars and get to go Downtown

In my opinion freetime but all of them are great. Apartment Life: Pro Make and move into apartment buildings. Have building parties Cons: The book case they show that flips comes in the pack but can't be used in apartments. Their a pain to build and make sure the apartments are 100% separate from the others otherwise it wont let you change it to an apartment. Freetime: Pro Comes with many new items and actions New jobs More things for your sims to interact with Cons: No fun if your more focused on the building of sims 2 houses. Open for Business: Pros Make and build your own businesses Comes with a new neighborhood add on like nightlifes downtown Make home businesses. Cons: Hard to make money off of. Makes sims want harder goals to reach in my opinion.

PC? You can but expansion packs, and others such as Freetime, Night Life, Apartment Life, Family Fun stuff, and much more. They all come with new things. Um, I hope that's what you meant. :)you just buy em'.
