It takes a long time for wet paint to dry. If you sit and watch the paint dry, you will be sitting there for quite some time without really accomplishing anything useful. It is a waste of time.

Why do you have to wait 30 days after a room is painted to put a fathead on a wall?

As a retailer of similar products, there is generally a recommended cure time of 30 days for new paint. This gives the paint sufficient time to dry into the wall which will provide a better surface for your wall graphic and decrease the chance that your paint/wall or the product will be adversely effected.
