Bushmen, or San people, are known for their intricate rock art, which includes paintings and engravings found in caves and on rock surfaces across southern Africa. Their art often depicts scenes from daily life, such as hunting and gathering, as well as spiritual and mythical themes. The use of natural pigments, combined with their unique stylistic techniques, reflects both their environment and cultural beliefs, making their artwork a significant form of expression and historical documentation.
Printmaking involves creating images by transferring ink from a matrix, such as a woodblock, etching, or lithographic stone, onto paper, allowing for multiple copies of the same artwork. In contrast, painting is typically a one-of-a-kind process where pigments are applied directly onto a surface, like canvas or paper. Printmaking often emphasizes techniques and processes that can generate textures and layering, while painting focuses more on brushwork and color application. The reproducibility of printmaking also distinguishes it from the singular nature of painting.
Depends on how much you work, what kind of illustration you're doing (Medical? Legal? Best selling childrens books? Weekly comic strip in your local paper?), and where you are geographically. Anywhere from $10 a year to $80k a year. Who knows.
I dont recommend dragon tattooes but flames under it will be a good idea. A few of my friends have dragon tattoos; one has it entwined with a phoenix, surrounded by fire, clouds and a cherry blossom or two (a whole back piece) which looks just amazing. Any other kind of oriental design would look good, too. You just have to take the style of the dragon and incorporate other pictures and things of that same style.
