Most clarifiers do not require you to stay out of the pool. However, some do require the pool water be still to be effective. Reading the manufacturers information on the bottle will get you the correct answer for the type you have purchased. Pool & Spa

Swim right away. I recommend a few cannonballs, to mix it in. It's really just like soap, so no worries.
