Both of those metals are excellent algaecides. Most commercial bottled algaecides are either copper- or silver-based. I would imagine that a copper or silver ion generator would be useful. Not sure how cost-effective they'd be.

Are silver copper and tin conductors of electricity?

Yes, silver, copper, and tin are all conductors of electricity. They have a high electrical conductivity due to the ease with which electrons can move through their atomic structures. This property makes them commonly used in electrical wiring and circuitry.

If copper displaces silver from silver nitrate will silver displace copper ll nitrate?

No, copper will not displace silver from silver nitrate and silver will not displace copper from copper nitrate. This is because the reactivity series dictates that silver is below copper, so copper can displace silver but not vice versa.

NAME OF A metal that replaces silver from silver nitrate solution?

copper will replace silver in silver nitratesolution will precipitate silver and oxidize copper turning to copper nitrate

What is Silver Nitrate plus copper?

When silver nitrate is added to copper, a redox reaction occurs where the Cu from copper displaces the Ag from silver nitrate. This results in the formation of copper nitrate and silver metal as a solid precipitate.

Is chariots of silver and copper a idiom?

No, it means chariots with silver and copper on them.

Why copper is used for making electrical wire while silver is not?

Copper is used for making electrical wire more commonly than silver because copper is a better conductor of electricity and is more abundant and cost-effective. Silver is a better conductor than copper but is much more expensive, making it less practical for everyday applications like wiring.

Which colloidal silver generator creates the smallest particle size silver?

The Micro particle colloidal silver generator is currently the most popular generator that produces the smallest particle size silver. It is one method of obtaining pure, therapeutic-quality silver.

Copper plus silver nitrate?

When copper is added to silver nitrate, a single displacement reaction occurs. The copper will displace the silver in the compound, forming copper(II) nitrate and silver. The silver will precipitate out of solution as a solid.

What would happen if a copper coin were kept immersed in a solution of silver nitrate write the word equation also?

copper is placed above the silver in the ractivity series which indicates that copper is more reactive than silver . when a copper coin is kept immersed in a solution of siler nitrate ,silver from its solution will deposit on copper coin . copper slowly displaces silver from the silver nitrate solution and the colour of solution changes from colourless to blue due to the formation of copper nitrate . the copper coin will disappear and silver will percipate out .

Is silver heavier then copper?

Silver is almost twice as heavy as copper.

What is formed from copper and silver chloride?

When copper is added to silver chloride, copper chloride forms as a result of a single displacement reaction. This reaction involves the copper displacing the silver in the compound, leading to the formation of copper chloride and silver.

Which of these metals, such as copper, silver, and gold, has the highest conductivity?

Out of copper, silver, and gold, silver has the highest conductivity.
