It may be a Christian charity or have some kind of association with it...

The WaterAid organisation does not state that it is non-religious in its mission statement.

This is what is spotted on the company's faith groups page - Fundraising case studies include only Churches.

  • St Peters Church,
  • Salesbury, Ashbourne & Wirksworth Churches,
  • St Mary's Parish Church,
  • St Peters Church Wolvercote, Oxford,
  • Mossley Methodist church,
  • Amersham Free Church

This certainly indicate something...

Answer

This charity does not help people dig wells and manage them: they influence local leaders and governments, provide management support and education. Check the site before you donate.
