A pink or purple ring around the pool could be caused by minerals. You should try shocking your pool water.
same color as a regular pool - blue
really purple but looks blue
Green
A pool can turn purple due to the presence of certain metals, particularly manganese or copper, that react with chlorine or other pool chemicals. This reaction can occur if the water's pH or alkalinity is not properly balanced or if there are high levels of these metals in the water. Algae blooms, specifically certain types of purple algae, can also contribute to discoloration. Regular testing and maintenance of pool chemistry can help prevent this issue.
Probabily the ground surrounding your pool if its in-ground. In an above-ground pool they most likely fly into the pool or crawl into it from the sides.

how do u stop the water from coming out the sides of the pool
The pool water draws its color from the liner. If you buy a white liner, then the pool water will not be blue. If you use a light blue liner, then the pool will be light blue. In my opinion, the best liner is a darker blue liner with ripples on it. Your pool will look gorgeous and inviting and the ripple effect makes it difficult to see any dirt in your pool. A solid color liner lets you see everything, which isn't always pretty.
Try green or yellow-green. Water is colorless, so any color tiles you have in your pool will make the water appear to be the same color from above. Reflections also influence the color, depending on how you view the water's surface.
During the Rio Olympics, the pool water quality was a concern due to issues with clarity and color. The water in the diving pool turned green, which was attributed to an imbalance of chemicals.
Pool water and hair color often equal disaster. Best to wait until after pool season to color. The bleach used in pools will lighten your hair in most cases. Unfortunately, chemicals i the pool water can build up on your hair. Best to get a treatment to remove these before getting a new color.
Not exactly sure if this is the problem, but from my experience in the pool business I've seen purple build up on fiber glass pool's surface, and it seemed to be a combination of two or more of these conditions: low calcium, low ph, and well water
