i would probably say less than 70 degrees but just an estimate.... one day for practice the pool was less than 70... coldest water ever! practice had to be cancelled cuz the little ones were at risk for hypothermia

Very cold compared to what? It is above the freezing point for water, it is a typical temperature for a winter afternoon in Portland, Oregon. It is extremely cold if you wanted to swim. A typical strong swimmer could not swim 50 yards in that temperature. It is rather warm if it is the temperature of Arctic waters and would lead to extensive sea ice melt.
well i always find that it is best when i swim in cold waters as it makes me swim faster to warm up while if it is warm then i get tired quicker so i dont train/swim as well
