The Deep End or diving zone
Yes it probably can be done at a major expense and reconstruction. k
6-10 grand to raise the deep end and resurface the pool. More if you want other stuff done.
Usually they mean a 50m or 25m pool which is rectangular and has a shallow and deep end with diving availability:)
Yes, because if it was in the shallow end you would end up hitting the bottom of the pool pretty hard.
Alcohol impairs your judgement... you are more likely to drown or have an accident like breaking your neck from diving in the shallow end.
You need to know how deep the water is and if the depth is constant or is it deeper near the diving board compared to the kiddie end
I am a diver and have been brought up with an outdoor pool and now have an indoor pool. If there is any cracking in the fiberglass - you can see it on the diving board about 1/2 way down - I wouldn't use it anymore. If someone goes to dive and it breaks - depending on the weight and dive they are doing at the time - it may paralize them. Thanks, The Windsor-Browns
There's two parts to this: 1) Only "jump in" a pool that is approved for diving, and only where it's deep enough that you won't be injured (by hitting the pool bottom or side). 2) If there's a shallow end, there no reason a non-swimmer couldn't wade into the pool under supervision (by a swimmer who can rescue them if they get into trouble). I wouldn't recommend a non-swimmer "jump in" the deep end of a pool even with supervision.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has a website that lists some of the most common pool drowning accidents. There is also a website called Kids Health that has tips on how to avoid pool accidents. Some common accidents include falling when running around a pool, young children drowning when unattended, diving in the shallow end and getting a concussion, cutting feet on broken glass near the pool, flotation devices not properly inflated just to name a few.
I hope this will help. The pool in Federal Way that was first used in the 1990 Goodwill games has a diving well 75' x 58' and a depth of 17'.
A cantilever is a beam supported at one end. A diving board is anchored at one end and hangs out over the pool. It's a cantilever. More can be learned by using the link and looking at some pictures while reading the Wikipedia article.
It looks like you may be trying to spell pool cue sticks. You use pool cues to play a game of pool, similar to snooker. You do not need the word "sticks" at the end. A pool cue is what it is called.
