The side with the bubbles sticking out
It will keep floating. Some of the water will remain on the top of the cover, but most will run off the side and enter the pool.
The reflective side of the emergency blanket should be facing outward for maximum heat retention.
The cooling blanket should be placed with the smooth side facing up for optimal comfort and effectiveness.
No! the floater should never have to be placed under neath the cover. The reason is that the chlorine is not moving around the pool so it will be in one position and eventually eat through the cover. Always keep your cover off when adding chlorine and when chlorine tablets are in a floater.
The silver side should be the one "Touching" the water, this allows the light to pass through the blue and light bounding back up from the bottom to be trapped by the silver.
The smooth side of a solar pool cover should face down toward the water to help trap heat and prevent debris from entering the pool. The bubbles or air pockets on the cover should face up, as they help to capture and retain heat from the sun.
The pic associated with this answer has nothing to do with a Solar Cover or Solar Blanket. It looks as if these are solar panels for electricity. Solar blankets look like a stronger version of bubble wrap. Their primary purpose when they are laid on the water (bubble side down) is to keep whatever warmth the pool water has in it from escaping into the cooler air at night. They are usually a light blue or clear in color. Clear allows more sunlight into the pool to heat the water better.
Yes there is it is actually called a solar blanket which is black on one side to heat blue on the other to refract heat. Available at Brody chemical 800-488-2436
All Solar Pool Covers are placed on your swimming pool with the bubble side down, or facing the water. This allows an air pocket to form under the cover to trap heat & provide the maximum insulation value the cover is designed for. -Charlie Goss President DPD Pools / PoolDeals.com
If the side of the blanket is 150 centimeters and it is a square than you'll need about 610 centimeters to go around. I rounded up so if there is extra just snip it off.
As you are looking at it, the hot is on the left.
The water pump should be along the serpentine belt. Refer to how to change a driveline belt at this site. The water pump should be located to the right(driver side) of the vehicle and it should be at the highest position on that side.
