J.Crew Factory (aka Outlet)
- The first J.Crew catalog featured and member of a rowing team (Oarsman) standing on a dock. This has become the unoffical logo and is found on outlet merchandise. The J in J.Crew is for Junior Varsity. How ever the founding family (Wood) found this to be a bit of a mouth full and shortened to J.Crew.
