cloudy water is due to bad filteration pump needs to be run for at least 12 hours aday . i keep mine on all the time unless pool is in use . i never used to and always had cloudy water a friend told me what to do now i have clear water all the time hope this helps you.
Remove the vinyl cover when using a solar blanket to warm the water. If the vinyl cover is used at the same time as the solar blanket, the vinyl cover absorbs most of the heat and then transfers the heat into the air or water between the vinyl cover and the solar blanket. Then the heat transfers to the solar blanket and then, finally, into the water. When this happens, a lot of heat remains in the vinyl cover and air/water between the two covers instead of getting into the water. It is preferable to have the heat absorbed by the solar cover and then transfer directly into the water. Hope this helps... Too much redundancy in pool covers.
Quite simply, you get less solar energy than when it is not cloudy. For example, a solar stove can still heat water, but it will no longer boil.Quite simply, you get less solar energy than when it is not cloudy. No. Assuming the water has been treated/is balanced.
It's generally not necessary to run the pump when the solar cover is on, as the cover helps retain heat and reduce evaporation. However, running the pump periodically can help circulate water and prevent chemical imbalances. If you're using a solar cover for heating, it's best to remove it when using the pool to allow for proper water circulation and filtration. Always consult your pool's specific guidelines for optimal maintenance.
A solar water heater relies on sunlight to heat the water. On a cloudy day the amount of sunshine is reduced, so the water probably will not be as hot. Solar PV panels have the same problem. On cloudy or rainy days the amount of electricity generate is much less.
Leaving the solar blanket on for extended periods can lead to poor circulation and lack of oxygen in the pool. This can cause the water to become stagnant and promote the growth of algae and bacteria, leading to cloudy water. It's important to regularly remove the solar blanket to allow for proper water circulation and maintain water quality.
To clear cloudy plastic, you can try using a mixture of vinegar and water, or a paste made of baking soda and water. Gently scrub the cloudy plastic with the solution using a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a clean cloth.
Yes. The filter will pull water into the skimmer from under the cover and send it back into the pool through the return line. In fact, when using a solar cover the pool will warm slightly faster if the water is circulating (the solar cover is continuously heating all of the water rather than a just a small layer of already warm water right under the cover). Heat flows faster the greater the temperature difference. Hope this helps...
Yes, the solar cover should touch the pool water. The cover absorbs the heat from the sun and then transfers that heat to the water. If the cover does not touch the water, most of the heat will end up in the air between the cover and the water rather than going into the water itself. Hope this helps ...
A solar heating system can provide heat on a cloudy day if it is equipped with a giant thermal bottle. The heated water or oil in the thermal bottle can be used to provide heat long after the sun is gone.
A solar hot water system uses solar panels to heat the water. Some advantages of using a solar hot water system is it uses renewable energy, and it lowers heating costs.
Solar blankets are less effective on cloudy days as they rely on direct sunlight to heat the pool water. However, they can still retain some heat and reduce evaporation even on overcast days. It's best to remove the blanket during cloudy periods to allow more sunlight to reach the water when possible.
