No. Serial numbers were not required until 1968 on rifles. Most have a Sears model number that is mistaken for a serial number
Savage. It is their model 340.

The Sears Roebuck & Co. Model 273.27510 .22 caliber bolt-action rifle was manufactured by the Savage Arms Company. It was sold under the Sears brand during the mid-20th century, specifically in the 1960s and 1970s. These rifles were typically rebranded versions of existing Savage models, providing an affordable option for consumers looking for a reliable firearm.

It is my understanding that a magazine from a Marlin 89C or 56 (both .22 rifles) or an Ithaca X-15 .22 rifle will fit the Seras 46DL. See your local gun dealer.
No such model. Winchester did not make a 'Model 1901 single shot .22 pump-action rifle.' They made a Model 1900, Model 1902 and Model 1904, which were all single-shot bolt-action rifles, and they made the Model 1890 and Model 1906 which were slide-action rifles but had tubular magazines. How exactly is your rifle marked? sales@countrygunsmith.net
Any bolt action .22 rifle will shoot .22 shorts and will likely feed them acceptably. Pump action rifles usually will work acceptably. In the early/middle 20th century, Browning/Remington manufactured a model of the .22 Browning Automatic (Remington Mod 24, if memory serves) which was chambered for .22 short only.
