Taurus revolvers can be good options for concealed carry due to their compact size and reliability. Models like the Taurus 856 are popular for their lightweight design and ease of use, making them suitable for self-defense. However, individual preferences and needs vary, so it's essential to consider factors such as caliber, weight, and grip when choosing a concealed handgun. Always ensure to handle and test any firearm to determine if it fits your comfort and proficiency level.
Any of the major manufacturers produce good quality revolvers. Smith & Wesson, Colt, Ruger, Taurus, Dan Wesson. Less expensive guns are frequently of lower quality, and less durable.
Your are asking for an opinion. There are several revolvers that would fill this role well- in my personal opinion, the Smith & Wesson Mdl 60 revolver in .357 Magnum would be the revolver of choice. You may also want to look at the Ruger SP101, preferably, in a hammerless configuration if you want it for concealed carry.
Their revolvers are.. their automatics, I've found to be a bit hit-or-miss. The PT92 and PT99 pistols are good pistols... essentially licence-made Berettas with better firer ergonomics. The Millenium... personally, I'm a bit lukewarm about that one.
H&R Break open .22 revolvers are small, compact handguns that are designed for easy loading and unloading by breaking the barrel open. They are commonly used for target shooting and plinking due to their simplicity and accuracy.
Well, you must have a license for handguns first off. If that is good, then I think it might be okay... but to make sure, I'd suggest seeing: http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/
Yes.
There are several handguns made by Taurus with a PT designation... you would have to specify specifically which one (PT92, PT99, PT101, etc.). General rule of thumb.. for a firearm in good condition, used, you shouldn't expect more than 10% depreciation from the price of a new one.
Be honest with Taurus, show you are willing to do good things for Taurus that you normally wouldn't do for anyone else. Trust me, I am a Taurus, and it's a really good way to show your affection.
The pros and cons of a pistol. Con: modern pistols of good quality seldom jam, but they can. On some models there is no second strike capability. The more complex something is the more likely it will fail. Pro: higher amount of ammo (pistols today carry from 6 to 19 rounds depending on size, model, and caliber). Ease of reload. The flat sides make concealed Carrie more comfortable. Cons of revolver amount of ammo loaded (5 to 8 depending on size model and caliber.) Cylinder makes concealed carry uncomfortable for some. Pros ease of operation. If round does not fire just pull trigger again. This is just a start there are a lot more pros and cons on both sides of the spectrum.
Wiki is a good choice. Go to Wiki and search for "types of handguns." On a brief cursory review, it looks pretty accurate.
See the website below for a list of states that have reciprocity with the state of Florida on the carrying of handguns. BUT BE AWARE that the concealed weapon or firearm permit issued by Florida under s. 790.06, Fla. Stat. is not a "carry permit" as that term is used in a social sense. The Florida permit allows you to carry concealed certain enumerated weapons* or a firearm* within the state. Others states' laws may only apply to handguns.* defined by statute
they are all good if they do the job against the bad guy,i like the bigger calibers like .40 and .45
