Very accurate! I purchased a new X-bolt stainless stalker in .308 and it is phenominal right out of the box! I loved my a-bolt but the x-bolt won me over the first time on the bench, Probably will result in my selling the a-bolt but who knows. Anyway, setup is x-bolt stainless stalker in .308 WIN. Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10X50 scope and using Winchester Ballistic Silvertip 168gr factory ammo. I setup using browning 15 inch bull bags filled with rice and had the following results at 100 yards: Smallest 3 shot group: 0.4 in Largest 3 shot group: 0.7 in That's correct the worst group is 0.7 inches center to center. I didn't think I would like the rifle at first because of the styling change but the accuracy speaks for itself. Additionally, the rifle seems to point naturally like a fine shotgun. I took a coyote off my hunting property and the shot was fluid and effortless from mount to trigger break. You almost don't realize the gun is up and shooting. I guess my old faithful a-bolt 308 may end up a safe queen or sold now as the x-bolt is going to the woods regulary. BTW, the a-bolt shot around 1" groups with that load so it wasn't bad either.
Retail, about $900 for a Hunter model and $1000 for a Stainless Stalker.
