This rifle was the first center fire rifle I bought when I was just out of my teens. I now own 104 firearms and I have five reloading presses. I have loaded and shot all the standard loadeds currently listed for the 257 Roberts in my 722 with zero problems. It is a classic round and is still one of my favorites. I recently purchased the Remington 700 CDL limited edition in this caliber and am looking forward to some fine shooting with it. Type your answer here...
Thanks so much for your answer. I am left handed and would really like a lefty bolt but I have an opportunity for a rt. hand 722 and wanted some feed back.
Again, thanks a heap!

You will not likely find a Remington stock. I put my 722 in a Bell and Carlson stock and I love it.

The 1917 Eddystone model is a variant of the U.S. military's M1917 rifle, originally designed for .30-06 Springfield ammunition. If your rifle is chambered in .257 Roberts, it has likely been modified from its original configuration, as the .257 Roberts is a commercial cartridge not used by the military. The "REM" markings you see may indicate that the rifle was manufactured by Remington, which produced the Eddystone variant. Such modifications were not uncommon, as rifles were often adapted for civilian use after their military service.
