Converting a pump-action shotgun to a semi-automatic configuration is generally not feasible or practical, as they are designed with fundamentally different operating mechanisms. Doing so would require extensive modifications to the firearm's internal components and could compromise safety and reliability. Additionally, such modifications may be illegal in some jurisdictions and would likely violate federal or state laws. It's important to consult local regulations and consider the implications before attempting any modifications to firearms.
Is it a bolt action, pump, or semi-auto?
A pump will have more recoil. The action of a semi-auto will absorb some of the recoil.
There are many different types. There are pistols, rifles and shot guns. Pistols can be semi auto or single shot or a revolver. Rifles can be semi auto or full auto or bolt action or single shot or lever action. Shotguns can be semi auto or pump or single or double shot.
Single shot, bolt action, pump, semi-auto,
The term carbine means a short barreled rifle. Some are semi-automatic, some fully automatic, and some are bolt action, lever action, pump action, etc. The M1 Carbine from WW II WAS a semi-auto.
Need to know who made it. Need to know if it is a bolt action, pump, or semi-auto. Does it have a model number on it?
The action is opened (bolt action, pump action, semi-auto, single barrel, double barrel SxS or O/U - the method of opening will depend upon the type listed) and a self contained cartridge is inserted either into the chamber directly, or into the tube magazine found on pump and semi-auto actions). The action is then closed and the shotgun is ready to fire.
It refers to the construction of the gun, and how it operates. Some are semi-auto, some are lever action, break action, pump action, etc. It may also refer to the point where cartridges are chambered.
Impossible to answer since you don't provide the type of action (OU, SxS, Pump, Semi-Auto)
The M1014 is the Benelli M4 Tactical. It is available only in semi auto. The Benelli M3 is the closest thing you'd find - it has the "dual action" feature, to where it could operate either in semi auto or pump action mode (in a similar manner to the Franchi SPAS 12). Additionally, Benelli has a whole line of pump action shotguns (the Nova series) which will share some commonality with the M1/M2/M3/M4 shotguns.
For each serial number - are you talking about a rifle? If so, is it a bolt action, pump, or semi-auto? Pistol - what caliber? 22,25,32,380, 9mm? Shotgun - Over/under, pump, semi-auto? What gauge? 12, 16, 20, 410?
Who made it? What caliber? What kind of action (bolt, pump, semi-auto, over/under)? Serial numbrer?
