Under US law, you may ship a firearm to a person that is permitted to possess guns, or to yourself. If transferring ownership, and the gun crosses a state line, it must be shipped TO the holder of a Federal Firearms License (such as a Dealer or Collector). Unloaded rifles and shotguns may be sent by US Mail. Handguns cannot be mailed except by a Dealer or Manufacturer, and must be shipped by UPS or FedEx.
