Yes, you can shoot .22LR through a .22 Magnum cylinder, provided the firearm is specifically designed for it, such as a convertible revolver that accommodates both cartridges. The .22LR cartridge is shorter than the .22 Magnum, allowing it to fit in the .22 Magnum cylinder. However, using .22LR in a dedicated .22 Magnum firearm that is not designed for it can pose safety risks. Always consult the manufacturer’s guidelines before attempting to use different ammunition types.
they both say 22 knock yourself out
There have been a few revolvers made with interchangeable 22LR and 22 magnum cylinders. However, you cannot add a cylinder unless made for that from the start (22 mag has a larger bore diameter). FIE was the importer, not the maker of arms with their name on it- and they have been out of business for several years. IF you have a "convertable" .22, you may find a cylinder through Numrich, Shotgun News, or similar dealers in used parts.
NEVER attempte to fire ammunition in a weapon it is not chambered for.
0-200 USD or so
Depending on condition, they would usually fall between $200-$300.
Nooo.
Some revolvers are capable of firing both cartridges, simply by replacing the cylinder. Not all revolvers can do this, however. As for a dedicated .22LR firearm not fed from a cylinder, the answer is going to be no.
22LR
$150-$250 depending on condition, and if you have both cylinders- 22LR and 22 WMR.
$25-$75. Low cost firearms, no longer imported, indifferent quality. Same with the 22lr, 22mag, and 38spl.
Probabably 22LR. Have it checked by a gunsmith.
I would avoid it if the shotgun barrel has a full choke. sales@countrygunsmith.net
