Certainly. I own one and it is quite accurate to about 50 yards or a bit more to point of aim with rifled slugs designed for smooth bore shotgun use. The .222 barrel can also be used to about 80 yards before it drops down in energy enough that you might be better with a 30-30 or some other weapon for medium or smaller deer. I suggest reloading your own ammo for the .222 with 55 grain Sierra Game King bullets. I have mostly brush hunted with it so I don't worry about long range shots with it anyway. Brenneke K.O. slugs, Remington Sluggers or Federal Truball slugs all work fine in the Savage 24v. I have not tried others so cannot comment on them but would expect all modern slugs designed for modified choke use in a smooth bore shotgun to work fine. Read the fine print for whatever slug brand you are looking at to confirm use with a barrel that has a modified choke. Remember to practice with it. The sights are dual on the 24v and it has rifle and shotgun sights combined so you need to be familiar with them to hit anything. I use iron sights in dense woods.
No such model made by Savage.

The 24v series D model is a variety of guns it could be a .22 cal. through a .357 caliber on top with a 20 gauge on the bottom so the value varies but I have a .222 cal. over a 20 gauge and it is valued at $260 in mint condition and $200 in good condition
