Yes, you can shoot steel shot through a Stevens Model 77H shotgun, but it's essential to ensure that the shotgun is in good condition and that the choke is appropriate for steel shot. Older shotguns may have fixed chokes that could be more susceptible to damage from steel shot, so it's prudent to check the manufacturer's recommendations and consider using a more open choke. Always consult your owner's manual and consider the potential risks before using steel shot.

If it has a 3" chamber like mine it will shoot pretty much anything you can throw in it.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not shoot steel shot in this weapon.
If you are referring to the single-shot Stevens 95 with the push-botton lock release on the side of the receiver, the gun should be structurally sound enough for steel shot HOWEVER most of these were supplied with full choke barrels. You are going to find that using larger size steel (#1 and greater) will not give decent patterns out of that choke, and, over time, will actually deform the choked section of the muzzle. If you are referring to the antique Model 95 with the top-lever, the answer is absolutely not - period. sales@countrygunsmith.net

This gun will shoot any lead 2 3/4" or 3" shell. Not designed for steel shot.
being that your savage/stevens shotgun was made between 1933-1945,I would have a gunsmith check your shotgun to make sure it is safe to use and at that time question him on use of steel shot through your shotgun.
Depends on when it was made.
Yes, you can shoot steel shot in a Stevens 5000 double barrel shotgun, provided the barrels are proofed for steel shot and the choke constriction is compatible. However, it’s essential to check the manufacturer’s recommendations and any markings on the shotgun, as older models may not be designed for steel shot and could be damaged or unsafe to use with it. Always consult a knowledgeable gunsmith or the manufacturer for specific guidance.
