one at a time, in the chamber, but the round will not have enough power to operate the bolt.
Depends, on if you are loading short, long or long rifle.
Never heard of a Winchester model 80. There is a Marlin model 80.
They will fire the standard .22 short,.22long,and .22 long rifle cartridges.
My guess is that it is the serial number. The model 56 was the first of the Marlin "Levermatic" line of guns that featured a clip magazine and a very short throw lever that allowed the shooter to cycle rounds through the gun more quickly than a standard lever action rifle. From it came the Model 57 and 57M which were tubular magazines of the same gun and the model 62 which were .256 win. mag and .30 carbine versions of the "Levermatic".
Yes, it says on the barrel, .22 S, L, LR. They will feed from the clip as well. Mid 80's Marlin Model 25 will as well. Post '88 Marlin Model 25N rifles will not feed them from the magazine. Just read the barrel if you are not sure which model you have.
Your marlin should be marked on the side of the barrel as to which type of 22 ammo it needs.example of 22 short,22long.22 long rifle,22magnum.
1909-1910 1 year of production for the pump action model 25
By the guide I use, Marlin made a "Model 18 Baby Slide-Action Repeater" from 1906-09. It was a .22cal. LR, Long Short. The tubular mag held 14 short cartridges. It had a 20" barrel that could have been round or octagon. My book lists them from $180 in good condition to $350 perfect. Hope this is what you were looking for.
it means you can use 22 short rounds 22 long rounds and the modern 22 long rifle rounds and it will shoot them all
Provide a detailed description of all markings.
