Can a Stevens 311 410 ga double barrel shotgun with double triggers be converted to single non selective trigger using the parts from another Stevens single trigger or a Fox double barrel shotgun?

Maybe. Why would you want to? It may cost more than a new gunas you may have to fabricate some parts. It's best to use firearms as designed rather than reengineer them. you can easily compromise safety.

How do you start a double barrel?

There is no need to start a double barrel. A double barrel shotgun needs to be loaded like you would a single barrel shotgun only using two bullets. You then cock the gun, aim, and fire.

Has anyone heard of a Springfield Stevens model 5000 410 double barrel with a single trigger?

I have one. Case hardened receiver, solid rib. Interestingly, in looking a the single trigger, there is a slot next to it (underside of receiver)which contains a piece of metal which does not protrude below the receiver. It's as if it was a double trigger converted to single trigger. I have no idea. It was made before 1948. I use it to this day, got four chuckars just yesterday. It just puzzles me. The side of the receiver says Stevens and next to it "model 5000" and it has an engraving of a pointer on the receiver as well. ????

Is the J C Higgins model 88 both single and double action?

What is the difference between single and double barrel whiskey?

When whiskey is bottled a number of oak barrels are dumped and blended together and bottled. Single Barrel Whiskey is bottled from one single oak barrel. Double barrel whiskey is aged in oak barrels then they are dumped and sometimes the proof is lowered and then put into a second new oak barrel to be aged again.

You have a JStevens Arms Co double barrel shotgun model 5100 with Springfield written on it also has a single trigger roughly when were these made?

The 5100 was made from 1931 to 1941. I didn't know a single trigger was available in the Springfield line. I own an old Springfield double barrel 20 gauge, serial number E67029. Is Springfield the actual model name, I see no reference anywhere to a model 5100. How do I verify what I have. Well, Apollo50, tell us what IS marked on it and maybe we can tell you something.

What is the value of an Ithaca 12 gauge single trigger double barrel shotgun?

We need more info. Is the single trigger selective or not? Does it have a vented rib and/or automatic ejectors? How about a beavertail forearm? The first single trigger used by Ithaca wa made by the Infallible Trigger Co. and was offered after 1914 in the Flues variation. That was replaced by the New Ithaca Double in 1926. In both variations, Ithaca produced 8 different grades, which all have different values. And in every case, value is completely dependent upon original condition. In short, your shotgun, in working order, is worth somewhere between $100 and $40,000.
