To identify the model number of a Springfield 20 gauge single shot shotgun, check the barrel and receiver for markings or stamps. The model number is often located on the right side of the barrel or near the hinge, and it may appear as "Model S" or similar. Additionally, consult the owner's manual or reference materials for Springfield firearms, as they may provide specifics on model identification for your shotgun. If in doubt, you can also reach out to a firearms expert or collector for assistance.
