You can wear a watch on either hand. It is a matter of preference and/or style.
according to Indian/asian culture Boys wear their watches on their left hand, bracelets on their right hand and girls wear watches on their right hand and bracelets on their left hands. Though girls wear bangles on their both hands. Because they are used to wear and do different things.
Originally people had to wind their watch each day. Watches were designed so that they could be wound by the watch stem with the right hand. Most people wore their watches on their left wrists to make it easier to wind the watch with their right hand. With improvements in watches such as batteries and self-winding watches, the stem has become a way to set the watch, but is no longer needed for winding the watch each day. It has become more of a personal preference as to which hand to wear the watch on. Right handed people tend to wear their watches on their left wrist to avoid interference with activities such as hand writing, etc., where as left handed people tend to wear their watches on their right wrists, for the same reasons.
If a man is right handed he typically will where his watch on his left hand. TRhe same is true vice-versa.
So they can continue doing other stuff with their right hand and not have to stop to see what time it is. Lefties wear their watches on their right wrists.
Watches are traditionally made with the winder on the right side because historically, people wore watches on their left wrist and used their right hand to wind them. This design made it easier for right-handed individuals to adjust the time on their watches.
Not all women prefer to wear watches on the right arm. Besides there are men who also wear watches on their right arm. It is all about comfort. Some women prefer to have a nice bracelet on their left arm which is why watches are worn on the right. There is not strict rule - it's all about comfort. Both men and women sometimes are found to wear watches on their right hand but they are generally left handed. There is no rule Bogget
Your right hand can touch your left elbow but your left hand can't and your left hand can touch your right elbow but your right hand can't.
I was always told that it's done like that so it doesn't get in the way of their dominant hand. The dominant hand (for most people this is the right hand) is involved in many more activities and therefore is at greater risk of damaging the watch. Plus it does get in the way when doing everyday things. If you are left handed you can always get a left handed watch (see related links)AnswerIt goes back to the time of wind up watches, the mechanism was easily accessible for right handed people to wind the watch.I always wear my watch on the left hand because it would get annoying on the right hand. It makes things a little awkward when writing when you have a watch weighting you down, etc.......................i always thought it was because the knob to change the time is on the other side, and because when you have to change the time, if it was on your right hand, you would have to use your left hand.......................I am naturally left-handed, i wear my watch on the right because i don't want it to restrict me when i write. Also it naturally feels at home better on my right hand rather than my left. men wear their wedding rings or watches on their left hand or arm
you can wite from right to left with your left hand while writing left to right with your hand what does that mean
Your right hand
It really depends on if they're left or right handed since I'm right handed i prefer my wristbands, bracelets and what not on my right hand and it seems most my friends do the same (most of them are right handed). My brother is left handed and he wears his on his left hand so that's what i base my answer off of.
