A Marlin Glenfield Model 60 .22 caliber semi auto rifle with a squirrel engraved in the stock and a serial number 20160178 is worth between $100 and $300. The actual value varies greatly based on its overall condition.
my dad had one , I have it now.I think he got it around 1965I bought one in Cuba on the military base we have there in 1962 and it was a Marlin Golden 39ADL I think it was called. The trigger was gold plated and over the years it disappeared. Best little "squirrel" weapon I have owned. I have a replacement for it but does not have the cared squirrel in the stock.
50-100 USD
The Glenfield Model 60, featuring the iconic squirrel emblem on the stock, was produced by Marlin Firearms until the early 1980s. The exact year it was discontinued is often cited as 1983, when Marlin transitioned to a more streamlined branding approach. After that, the Model 60 continued to be made but without the distinctive squirrel logo.
You can buy a stock for a Marlin Glenfield Model 60 featuring a squirrel design from various online retailers, such as eBay, GunBroker, or specialized firearm accessory websites. Additionally, local gun shops or sporting goods stores may carry replacement stocks or can order them for you. It’s also worth checking with Marlin's official website or authorized dealers for availability.
The 20 indicates that your gun was made in 1980. Marlin did not checker the stocks on the 39a at that time period.
it just depends on the year it was made in if it had the squirrel i think. either that or they quit putting the squirrel on when they stopped the glenfield name and made em all marlin. But to answer your price question. I just picked up the same gun yesterday without the squirrel (which shouldn't make it anymore valuable at all) for $40 in a local gun shop. And he had 4 or 5 more similar to that gun in age and model for 35-70 depending on condition.
Retail you could get $100-$110. You might get a little more if you parted it out.
The exact value will depend on your local market, the condition of the rifle and any particular features it might have. A basic Model 60 of recent manufacture might go for as low as $70 on a person-to-person sale. Older Model 60's with higher capacity magazines command a premium, and have sold for around $100-$120 online. I have Glenfield 60 manufactured in 1977 with an engraved stock that I have seen go for as much as $140 in online auctions.
You can get them from Marlin....
