The first lever action rifle by Winchester was the Henry rifle. It was produced from 1860-1866.
No.
yes.The Winchester model 9422M was chambered in .22WMR.
There was/is no such thing as a 1940's vintage Winchester lever-action .410. Winchester did make a slide-action (pump) .410 shotgun called the Model 42 during the 1940s.
Yes winchester did make a model 250 lever action rifle from 1963-1974.
The 45-75 W.C.F. was designed for, and used almost exclusively in the Winchester Model 1876 lever-action rifle. When Winchester introduced the Model 1886 lever-action 10-years later in the more powerful (and popular) 45-70 cartridge, the Model 1876 quickly faded into obscurity, though Winchester did continue to make 45-75 cartridges up to the year 1935. Best is a very subjective term. Winchester, Marlin and Henry all make very good rifles.
your model 1894 Winchester was made in 1951,which would make it not a pre war model,if you are talking about WWII.
Winchester made a model 64 22 caliber in the year of 1934. This model of rifle was a lever action model. This is an antique gun that many people would like to get their hands on.
Winchester never manufactured a "33-70" cartridge. Winchester did make a 33 W.C.F., and a 38-70 W.C.F. cartridge, both of which were chambered in the Model 1886 lever-action and the Model 1885 Single Shot rifles.

You did not tell us what MAKE your shotgun is. The two 1895s that come to mind are a lever action Winchester RIFLE, and a Davenport shotgun, which had a prominent release lever right behind the hammer.
