The meaning of a man wearing an earring in his right ear can vary based on cultural and personal context. In some places, it has been associated with sexual orientation or lifestyle, while in others, it simply reflects personal style or fashion choices. Ultimately, interpretations can differ significantly, and it's important not to make assumptions based solely on appearance.
so people can tell if your striaght or gay I started with an earring in my left ear. Then I pierced my right ear & l got hooked.... cool. I decided I needed an earring in my right ear.
Huh? ... Absolutely nothing.
It actually means nothing other than you were too lazy to get the other ear done. This whole left right gay not thing died back in the 70's. Today most males have both ears done either with rings or studs and the sexual orientation has nothing to do with your personal image or style sense.
There are different customs that mean different things in different situations. There is no one single custom, such as wearing an earring to signify sexual persuasion. Do not worry about sending out the right, or wrong, signal. Just wear if where you think it looks best on you.
The idea that an earring in the right ear signifies someone is "searching" is a myth and varies culturally. In some contexts, particularly in the 1980s and 1990s, people associated earrings with different meanings, including sexual orientation or lifestyle choices. However, there is no universal interpretation, and the significance of wearing an earring in either ear often depends on personal style rather than a specific message. Ultimately, it's best to avoid reading too much into someone's choice of jewelry.

Modernly, most males will get their left ear and not their right, because the right ear means they are homosexual. Some males prefer not to believe in such rubbish and will wear piercings in their right or left or both ears. Most professional body piercers are well past listening to that form of BS and don't consider piercings a means of denoting ones sexual orientation. It's rude and not in keeping with modern social acceptance.
