Spell check- Suppressor. Yes, they do work. However, they may not do what you think they do. They do not totally silence a rifle- they REDUCE a PART of the noise made by the muzzle blast. There is also noise made by a high speed bullet breaking the sound barrier- and they do not reduce THAT. They will make a rifle quieter, but not as quiet as the ones in the movies.
