I have an eagle, and have found no information about so far. By using historical information fon the company i have been able to estimate my clock was made in 1879 (give or take). I was "gifted with the clock which stuck me as ug-ug-ugly(!)
I let it sit for a year for inspiration, and ended up going for a redesign of the case and a cleaning tune-up of the works. I have a a variety of parts that were not used during the rebuild, I have a the extrrior lumber , most of the door, and the door glass (etched/guilded). I aslo have the original bob from thr pendulum.
please contact me if you have any questions I might help with

The William L. Gilbert Clock Company, known for its dove kitchen clocks, was established in the mid-19th century. Many of these clocks were produced between the 1940s and 1960s. To determine the specific manufacturing date of your clock, you would need to check for any identifying marks or labels on the clock itself, as well as consult resources on clock dating.
No Clock Co Gilbert ceased trading in 1964.
Back in the days that this clock was manufactured by William L. Gilbert in Winsted Conn. most towns had a bell that not only rang for fires, but also for other alerts that included a curfew for children.

The Gilbert clock, also known as the Gilbert movement, is a type of clock mechanism designed by American inventor and clockmaker Henry Gilbert in the early 20th century. It features a unique escapement system that allows for more accurate timekeeping compared to traditional clock designs. The Gilbert clock is particularly known for its use in mantel and wall clocks, often characterized by ornate designs and decorative cases. Collectors value these clocks for their craftsmanship and historical significance in the evolution of timekeeping devices.

To wind up a 3-hole Gilbert clock, first locate the winding arbor keyholes on the clock face. Insert the winding key into each keyhole and turn it clockwise until you feel resistance, indicating that the clock spring is fully wound. Be careful not to overwind the clock, as this can damage the mechanism.
