To adjust an Ithaca Model 300 shotgun from heavy to light loads, you need to change the gas system settings, if applicable, and ensure the correct ammunition is used. Check the gas ports for any obstructions and consider using a lighter recoil spring if necessary. Additionally, ensure the shotgun is clean and well-lubricated to facilitate smooth cycling with lighter loads. Always consult the owner's manual for specific guidance on adjustments and load recommendations.

One possible problem is : The Rem. 11 shotgun has an adjustable recoil system., You can adjust it for light, medium or heavy loads. If it's adjusted for heavy loads, it won't work for light loads, etc. etc. Send me an email & I'll send you a scan of the adjustment procedure. You have to remove the handguard & move some small parts around.
Made in 1969. If in very good condition these typically sell for $350-$450. They are pretty common.
Another word for "light" as in not heavy is "lightweight."
The opposite of heavy is light.
the age of a 12 gauge Ithaca is : 47,000 years old .
These were actually made by SKB in Japan and imported by Ithaca. Very nice little double, and really well balanced in 20ga. I have the SKB 'Royal Light' which was a similar model not imported into the US. Depending on condition, $500-$700. sales@countrygunsmith.net

One level teaspoon is five grams unless the Bute is very light or heavy. If it isn't pure you'll have to adjust accordingly.
