Ask a gunsmith for help
many small pistol manufactors were started in early 1900's making small cheap pistols. Most pistol were revolvers of the break open type. Yours is probably one of those manufactured between 1900 - 1930 for $5.99..................there is no history for these cheap pistols.................
There is no Remington 238 caliber, If you mean .223, about $250, depending on condition.
value depends on overall condition. the break open pistol stems from turn of the 1900's, and are not in the real collectible world......................
Take it to a gunsmith.
