yes they made a martini action single barrel shotgun 12gauge it is cheap around £100 but it has a huge amount of recoil you can buy them on guntrader.com
A single shot Continental Arms Co should be a product of Harrington and Richardson, but since the company was in business for over a hundred years (1872 - 1985) and it is probably not serialized and even if it has a serial number there are no records available to check, you will probably never determine its age with any accuracy. My best guess would be sometime after the start of WW1 which ended the supply of inexpensive shotguns from Europe and the early 1950s when the use of 'store brands' became less fashionable.
