To determine the manufacture date of an Amana PTAC unit, check the serial number, which is usually located on the nameplate or label on the side or back of the unit. The serial number often includes a date code, typically in the format of two letters followed by several numbers; the first letter represents the month and the second letter the year of manufacture. You can also contact Amana customer service or visit their website for assistance in decoding the serial number. Additionally, you may find the manufacture date on the unit's original packaging or documentation.
