To disassemble a Ruger Mini-14, first ensure the firearm is unloaded by removing the magazine and checking the chamber. Next, remove the action from the stock by unscrewing the two stock screws located at the rear and front of the receiver. Once the action is free, you can separate the barrel and receiver by loosening the barrel band screw and sliding the band off. Finally, to access the internals, remove the bolt by pulling the charging handle back and lifting the bolt out of the receiver. Always follow safety precautions and refer to the owner's manual for detailed instructions.
