I suggest you get a magnifier and relook the model number. It is probably a 30-SB562A. I have one that I would not part with. I was told that it was probably 80 years old but that does not square with what I have read in other entries at this site.

Most likely Mossberg made your shotgun,but I cannot be sure unless you give the model number of your Wards shotgun.
