No one way to determine that. Sometimes by serial numbers, sometimes by markings on the gun. Sometimes not possible at all.
That decision is up to the parents. Is the child mature enough to use the gun with care. Do they know how to handle the gun safely. Do they know it's NOT a Toy. All these things should be considered.
Depends. Some guns have production records. Some have a marking that indicates year of production. In some cases, you know that THAT gun was made from 1930-1937- and have no other information.
